Rationale : Information assets are critical to any business and paramount to the survival of any organisation in today's globalised digital economy. Information leak, data theft, virus attack, denail of servie attack, junk email, spyware and other forms of cybercrime are increasing in number and complexity. As numerous government and business services go online, their vulnerability to theft, fraud and other breaches are increasing. In some cases, state sponsored espionage is staged against nations. It is important to treat information as an asset and defend it accordingly. This session introduces delgates to various forms of contemporary and common cyber/computer crime and how they work with real example and how they impact every aspect of our life. The session will also equip delegates with. basic skills to combat various attacks and protect their systems, resources and themselves
